Welcome

multicultural women looking sad and discontent

To the women of Wisconsin who desperately want to feel like themselves again (or for the first time)–
you have found the right place.

Bethany Pankratz, LPC-IT, NCC
Trauma-Informed Professional Counselor | IFS-Trained Therapist | Brainspotting Practitioner | Mental Health Coach

Hi there, I’m Bethany.

The first thing you’ll want to know about me is that I am a real life survivor of serious clinical darkness. I began battling with depression and anxiety as a preteen–over 20 years now. In the last several years I’ve traded the fight for curiosity and compassion for myself, and have found more freedom and experienced more growth than ever. I’m also wife to my studly saint of a husband, Brandon, and momma to our son, Bear. But, the most important thing you need to know about me is that I love Jesus and I desire to play an active role in his story of love and redemption.

My passion for helping women regain their mental health is born out of my own journey through suffering. Along that often lonesome road my Good Father arranged for dearly loved ones to walk beside me, however slowly I needed to go. Today I’m hopeful to have the honor of being one of your ones.

Enough about me, though. How are you? How are you really feeling?

I know one thing is true for all of us, the stress and weight of all that’s going on in the world is overwhelming.

How are you coping?

If you’re not, know that you’re not alone:

  • The national average for adult anxiety & depression symptoms in February 2023 was 32.3%. 1
  • 1 in 5 U.S. adults experience mental illness each year, and more than half of these do not receive treatment of any kind. 2
  • In 2021, suicide was in the top 9 leading causes of death for people ages 10-64. It was the second leading cause of death for people ages 20-34. 3
  • Prevalence rates of PTSD are higher in women (10-12%) than men (5-6%). 4

No one deserves to be isolated and alone in their pain.

Finding the will to take steps out of the dark might feel like more than you can do. Plus, it’s hard to find a therapist with openings right now. Luckily I’m still building my practice!

So will you let me help you get back to feeling like you again?

It matters to me is that you have the strength and motivation to carry out what you are made to do. Because you, sister, have purpose.

Psychotherapy

50 min per session

Psychotherapy is available to adult women in Wisconsin who are struggling with mental health, or are interested in deconstructing barriers that are preventing personal, spiritual, and/or relational growth. Trauma is a common thread we all experience, whether overt or subtle (or somewhere in between), and trauma is notoriously responsible for mental health problems. It is my passion to help you uncover and heal that trauma so you can move forward, especially through the modalities of Brainspotting (BSP) and Internal Family Systems (IFS).
